A truffle, sclerotium is an underground hardening or thickening of the mycelium package in fungi, which is formed in times of poor climatic conditions, to survive this period. The truffle is therefore the same organism as a mushroom with the same active ingredients psilocybin and psilocin. Technically and scientifically, the truffle is not a mushroom, so it does not fall within the scope of the Opium Act since 2008 when the mushrooms were band. The truffle can be freely produced, sold and consumed. On the outside, the sclerotium is sometimes provided with a membranous layer that prevents dehydration.
Truffles come in several sizes. They vary from quite small grains of several millimeters to stones of tens of centimeters in size. The large truffles are broken into smaller pieces so as not to exceed the maximal dose of 15 grams. Generally, it happens that when you come across a container with only very small grains, the truffles are underdeveloped and have not reached their full potential.
If there are large and small grains in the container, then the bag or jar where the truffles are sprouting has attained its growth, and from this, you can take it that the cultivation has been done carefully and that the truffles are picked at the right moment.
Each truffles species is marked with a number that determines the intensity of the effects (increasing from 1 to 5).
The Truffles can be kept for over a month when refrigerated at 2 to 4 degrees Celsius. Since truffles are a “living” product and we don't do vacuum sealed, it can happen that a white mist or white fluff grows on the truffles. This is harmless, and in fact it is actually healthy. The truffle forms new mycelium, and thus it is its own mould that you see growing on it. This phenomenon occurs due to lack of gas exchange, which lets the CO2 content in the container increase. Vacuum-sealed or lifeless truffles contain lower psilocybin levels, that might result in a less consistent microdosing routine or trip benefits.
Truffles contain 2 main alkaloid tryptamines: Psilocybin and Psilocin and two minor: Baeocystin and Norbaeocystin. Also they are rich in fat and polysaccharides (carbohydrates).
Psilocybin is converted inside the body into psilocin. Psilocin is the main substance responsible for the psychedelic effects of the truffles. The different concentration of psilocybin and psilocin make the trip different. Although, they are probably responsible for the variations of effects between different truffle species, like more body high, energy, brain high, etc...
EFFECT, with a full dose not with microdosing!!!
Psilocybin Truffles (sclerotia) change your consciousness and influences your feelings as well as your perceptions. One may feel, hear or see things differently than in reality. Colors will become more intense. Your surroundings will overlap each other. You will see music, hear a photo or smell a color. Hallucinations will play with your mind. The neurochemicals affected are serotonin and dopamine. Serotonin is an important mood controller. Your mood may be significantly affected. Someone who has taken truffles may look strange to others. Dopamine regulates, among other things, powers of intellect and aids in the processing of information by the brain.
A users feeling and perceptions are sometimes strange and unreal. For example: you feel your body sitting on a couch while your mind is in a whole different space.
To experience a light effect 7.5 grams are recommended.10 grams is a standard doseof truffles while 15 grams is considered to be a strong dose.
When taking a low dose of truffles visuals are like watching a movie. Visuals are there but distant. When taking a medium dose you start playing the starring role, you are inside the movie. Visuals surround you. When you take a high dose you can be the actor, director, and producer at once.
The body will build up a tolerance to truffles, 10 till 20 % less within 24 hours every dose, which means that after a few times the affects are none. Taking a larger dosage will not help to alter this. If one wishes to trip again, they should take a break for a couple of days until the body has decreased the level of psilocybin.
Truffles are controlled by the health inspector, who makes sure that there is no danger to the public.
