Brain Fitness Microdosing
Psilocybin Truffles for microdosing
Microdosing has come a long way since its humble beginnings in the lab of Swiss scientist Albert Hofmann in the 1930s. Nowadays microdosing is riding the wave of the psychedelic renaissance, reaching all corners of society, from the Silicon Valley entrepreneurs to the student studying for exams to those looking for more mental stability and everyone in between. With this wave also comes a lot of scientific research giving us more and more understanding of the potential of mushrooms and truffles.
The potential? Psilocybin. This naturally occurring non-toxic substance can be found in a variety of truffle species. Psilocybin acts as a serotonin antagonist- and therefore we call it brain fitness. In other words, it helps the brain to store more serotonin for longer than normal, the effect of this increase in serotonin results in among other things, a boosted mood and enhanced cognitive abilities. Please note that the truffle is a dietary supplement. We are therefore unable to provide information about health claims. We do not make medical statements. Truffles are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease. We encourage everyone to do their own research and consult their medical practitioner.
Brain fitness microdoses can be bought as little as a single dose, the most common is to buy month by month, therefore 10 doses (+ 1 free, on us!). Each 1-gram dose can be consumed by chewing or making tea in the morning on an empty stomach (or wait at least three hours after your last meal). When chewing them, aim to chew for around 5 minutes, this gives the active ingredients sufficient time to be released and absorbed and makes it easier for your stomach to digest. When making tea, cut the truffles into very thin slices so that you get more surface area and the active ingredients dissolve better. After boiling the water, add your favorite tea bag and let it cool for 1 minute before adding the truffle slices, let the tea sit between 5 and 10 minutes, then you can drink everything and swallow the little pieces of truffles or when you experience stomach complaints leave the left overs and just drink the water.

But why the sclerotia Tampanensis?
Truffles contain two important alkaloid-tryptamines: Psilocybin and Psilocin, in addition, it contains Baeocystin and Norbaeocystin. These tryptamines are in the tampanensis, also known as the philosopher's stone, the most balanced and consistent with each batch, making them the most suitable for microdosing according to research. During a growth period of 14-16 weeks, the Tampanensis forms sclerotia of medium size. This indicates that this species mainly uses its enzymes for the production of active substances, rather than for the production of tissue.
Important things to keep in mind
Our microdoses are carefully weighed, and packed as 1 gram each, in a special mixture of air, after which we pack the quantity you ordered in a planet-proof 100% compostable bag or bamboo jar with the 10+1 free. Not in a strip with a predetermined quantity, with us, you decide how many pieces you want. Notice; when your microdoses are packed at the farm they weigh 1 gram but over time the moisture evaporates, which reduces the weight of the truffles, the active substance psilocybin does not decrease. Our truffles are fresh so consume them as soon as possible, they won't last fore ever.
"THERE'S MOLD ON MY TRUFFLES!"
Because the truffle is a fresh product and needs oxygen to stay at its best, we do not sell vacuum-seal truffles in order to keep them fresh and of a higher quality for you. It can happen that a white fluff / mold does grow on the truffles. This white fluff is completely harmless and actually healthy, it is simply new mycelium that is trying to regrow the truffle. This happens due to a lack of gas exchange, which increases the CO2 content in the air bubble.
The truffles can be kept refrigerated at 2 to 4 degrees Celsius for a month.
Each individual has their own personal tolerance to psilocybin, if the effects of your microdose are notable on a perceptive level you should take a lighter dose on your next microdose day so that you find your so-called "sweet spot". It can be helpful to keep some kind of diary to track the effects.
Regularity is also an important factor. In fact, with regular psilocybin intake that follows a protocol, you prevent the development of higher tolerance to psilocybin, which can affect the absorption rate in your microdosing routine. We recommend following the protocol created by Dr. James Fadiman. James Fadiman is an American psychologist and author recognized for his extensive work in the field of psychedelic research. The Dr. Fadiman's Protocol suggests the intake of a microdose every third day. Continue this for 6-8 weeks and then take 4 weeks off for best results and to avoid tolerance.
On the bag containing your microdose, you will find the expiration date and also the batch number which makes our product traceable and ensures transparency for our customers. Store them cool and dark out of reach of children and pets. Don't use it when pregnant / breastfeeding.

Truffles are checked in the Netherlands by the Health Inspector, who ensures that there is no danger or health risks for the population, which we as When Nature Calls only emphasize. Truffles are legally grown in the Netherlands and can therefore be shipped to all EU countries under the Mutual Recognition of Goods Principle of the European Commission.
In the Netherlands, truffles are covered by the NVWA, which will monitor and control them together with the Ministry of Health. When Nature Calls therefore only sells quality products that come directly from the nursery of the famous "Truffle brothers" Mycologics. Mycologics is the only farm in the truffle industry to be HACCP certified, short for hazard analysis and critical control points, a risk inventory for food products responsible for protecting and promoting public health through food safety control and supervision. These truffles are 100% Vegan, none-GMO. The nursery also does not use gamma radiation, pesticides, heavy metals or other chemical growth agents. Pure organic!!!
